Philanthropy

April Chou is a Managing Director of Jasper Ridge Partners where she leads the team that focuses on philanthropic and impact advisory services. Prior to joining Jasper Ridge Partners in 2024, April served in executive roles at the OneTen Coalition, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, KIPP Northern California Public Schools and NewSchools Venture Fund. She has advised prominent families and foundations on their philanthropy and served as an executive coach to foundation and social sector CEOs. April began her career with McKinsey & Company, working with clients in the U.S., China and Singapore. She currently serves as a trustee of both the Charles and Helen Schwab Foundation and Western Governor’s University. She is a moderator for the Aspen Institute, a Pahara Fellow and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. April earned a BA from the School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, an MA in Education from Stanford University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
