Greg Ruiz is a Partner of Jasper Ridge Partners and co-leads the private equity/venture capital team, where he focuses on the firm’s direct and co-investment activities. Prior to joining Jasper Ridge Partners in 2023, Greg was the Managing Investment Director of Private Equity at CalPERS where he was responsible for all aspects of CalPERS’ global private equity program. Greg was also a voting member of the fund-wide investment committee, which oversaw investment decisions across asset classes. Prior to CalPERS, Greg was a direct investor at Altamont Capital Partners and FFL Partners, where he worked across multiple industries including technology, consumer, industrials and education. Greg began his career in the private equity group at Goldman Sachs. Greg earned a BA from the School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
